• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Not yet and the US release date has been pushed back to May 24. I think you can get it through Just Flight, a UK based company. Beware, 1C is still patching this thing.

More or less. Word is that more than 80% of the code is simply Il2 Sturmovik translated from Java into C. It does have new textures and new features such as dynamic cockpit shadows. Unlike Il2 Sturmovik, Cliffs of Dover is to have an SDK released to developers for the development of add on aircraft and maps.

I'd save my money if I were you; I bought it, and quite frankly its rubbish as it stands.
I have a 3.3Gb i7 with 12Gb ram and a 2Gb 285 graphics card, and I can’t get the game to run properly, the controls are intermittent and despite being patched it is unplayable as it stands. Don’t bother until they fix it, but when you consider how long it’s been in development, I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting.
