This book was just published in October and is a coffee-table style pictorial history on Nav Air in Hampton Roads. Published by the local Virginian-Pilot newspaper, the book contains an excellent assortment of photos. The views of early aviation activity through the 1930's are especially interesting, such as USS Saratoga (CV-3) departing Norfolk Naval Shipyard and sharp, up-close shots of USS Langley (CV-1). Not much color (not surprising) until the 1960's and later, but photo reproduction is excellent throughout. For $39.95 I'd kinda like a little bigger book, but it's a nice production and worth the $$ for anybody who's interested in Nav Air's 100-year presence in Tidewater.
