ok,i went to connect my printer back up,i havent had my printer for about two months,in the process i disconnected my directv ,both tvs,and it seems the controllers,they are all plugged in as they had been,but now the computer is not "seeing" them at all.

ive un-plugged ,re-plugged and screamed a few times...and nuthin!! i have no idea of what to do now...oh ive re-booted the pc twice now aswell.
 
well ive tried several things this morning to no avail.so the heck with it..im just going to call the kid at saitek and ask him...im sure they have more employees than him,but its him i always talk to...

Are all of these items USB powered? Or are the TVs HDMI &/or one of the other HD video outputs on the video card? You do have a separate video card, instead of the onboard video, don't you?

Are you using a powered USB hub, or does everything have it's own direct connection to the computer?

Did ALL of these things work together before the printer was disconnected?


Not sure, but this info may help diagnose.
 
In addition to Don's suggestions (which I'd check before proceeding with what I've written below). Excpecially the part that regarding the self powered usb hub. It is imanent that all your devices don't consume more power than the usb ports can deliver. You can check how much power a device draws on a port, however, what you read there can vary and you might not see any spikes. Best to provide a good buffer to counter any rising demands.

So:

First thing to check is if the system recognizes the controllers att all once you plug them in.

Second is to check if your p3d.cfg has double entries for the controllers. That can happen if controllers get dis- and reconnected and the system reassigns another adress for them, leaving the old entry active. Delete the double entries or all of them. P3D will rebuild the config (custom button assignments will be lost though).

Sometimes there are USB assignments left in the system registry that prevent a usb device from working on a port it was previously plugged in. Happens frequently if you use different USB sticks in the same port.
To remedy this you can delete the proper entries in the device manager (usb part, not HID). You should activate the extended view in the device manager for that (show inactive devices or something like that).
Windows will reinstall the drivers when you rescan the hardware config.

Then there's the vid_06a3 problem that plagues some Saitek hardware. See the thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84295 for this. In my expereience no drivers need to be reinstalled. Deleting the vid_06a3 key worked for me. Don't use original Saitek drivers anyhow, SPAD seems to be a better solution as a controller frontend.

And last, deactivate the energy saving on the root hubs in the device manager. That can wreak havoc with the USB configuration.

thats alot for me to take in guys,but ill try to use your advice.

i have all of the devices except the rudder pedles connected to the yoke and then into a USB 2 port on the back of the PC tower.the yoke has a power supply of its own..

i have a seperate video card and it connects to my TVs HDMI port.

"Did ALL of these things work together before the printer was disconnected?"..i miss wrote in the first post...the printer was working in 8.1,but i did not have the saitek controllers connected until a week before the win 10 upgrade,BUT everything did work before i re-connected the printer...its hard for me to tell you what all happened when i re-connected the printer...was a pain...i was IN pain.back hurt,neuropothy in my feet and hands were spiking very high ,it was hot,and i was ...well...arg

ive gotten them working..sort of..but i think ill do as Mark said...so thanks guys!

offence taken, you know me....lol...naw..but what do you mean?..the bit about when it all went sideways?...i mean P3D is my only sim installed...so i asked here.....does that help?
