New Plum Island Scenery Released

Bill Womack has just released a completely new version of his famous "Hundred Dollar Burger" airfield, Plum Island. The scenery also includes a second airport, Minute Man Air Field.

I just received the email and bought it straight away, as I have been eyeing off the development pics on his site.

Just bought and will install later. I suppose it would be best to uninstall the original plum island?

Hi Roger. Yes. I would suggest uninstalling the original. This release is a whole new version and not just an update.

Cheers,

The character in this scenery pack is amazing. Plum island is old but I did not have the original, just seen screenshots back then and admired it so I fell for this new version. However, in this pack I think that the "bonus" Minute Man airport scenery just a few miles inland from Plum Island, really steals the show. There are T-hangars that automatically open their doors when one taxies by, with associated sound too. You can have your own little hangar in there, just pick your spot. There is also very nice ambient sound set including birds dogs etc. Really classy, very well done and really value for money piece of scenery by a really talented man, Bill Womack. I may try to post some pics later.

As promised, some pics from 6B6 Minute Man and your own little hangar space:

The opening hangar caught me by surprise, lol. I was taxiing over to the Terminal/FBO and heard this noise.. .I thought I had run over something, lol. Definitely nice scenery as is the norm for Bill. The New England corridor is coming alive and it's a great area to fly in this time of year.

Indeed it is Ed. May I also add that the large areas of photoreal ground around the two airports blend nicely with ORBX Global and OpenLC NA.

Thanks for the mention! We're working on a blending pack to make 6B6 blend even better with FTX Global. It was originally designed to blend with the default terrain, but obviously a lot of folks run Orbx products. The blending option should be ready in the next day or so.

There is a slight color difference but hardly noticeable, especially if you use dense autogen. If it is even further streamlined then more good news!:applause:

That would be awesome Bill. Hopefully you will find a lot of appreciation for the New England area scenery.

I purchased this scenery without hesitation, as I have so far enjoyed each and every scenery released by iBlueYonder.

Have not had a chance to download and install yet, as I am in the midst of re-building the pedestal of my home built cockpit. Looking forward to exploring the scenery in the coming week or so.
