Hi All Ya'll
Ive bought a new SSD,250gb.im going to install it as a third drive dedicated for P3Dv4 only.i have a few questions.

1 will i need to do anything special to make the PC recognize the drive?
2 can i remove the P3Dv4 "stock" planes without screwing anything up?..i would like to leave the F22 just to start the simulator up,then when i change airports etc,i will choose the plane i want.or id like to have a default plane/airport etc setup.does that work or no?
im only going to have three or four planes installed at first,if that many.its been so long since ive gotten to fly,i want to just start over.maybe the A2A C-172 and the Beaver, with the Carenado Baron for a twin..

Hiya Dave,

1) If the drive is new you should be able to hook it up, boot the computer, then install the sim. Most of these SSD drives have instructions in how to do the deed, and of course you should follow them. It's really pretty straightforward.

2) Aircraft should not be removed from the simulator. Some are used as AI, and removing them can make the simulator crazy! Best solution is to check each aircraft in the SimObjects folder... for any "Vehicle" you wish not to see in the simulator "Scenario" screen, rename the "Panel" folder to "Panel.off". Any vehicle that does not have a "Panel" won't show in the "Vehicle" screen... so by renaming the Panel folder to Panel.off you effectively prevent aircraft you may not wish to use from cluttering up that page in the sim.

HTH,

Greg
