Night vision in P3D

Hi guys. When I attempt to use the night vision filters in P3D, it only works with an external forward view. I cant get it to work inside the cockpit showing the panel etc. Is there something I need to do to make this work properly? I used to have a way to do this in FSX with some ENB series filters. Is this possible native to P3D?
