OT: Great show on AMC last night ...

Started out kinda dry ... so I surfed away from it for a few, but when I returned, it purely captivated me for the rest of the program. It even came to a part where I was mad at the show for what was about to happen, then found out it was only a dream by one of the cast members ... LOL.

Otherwise ... Pretty good flick.

LAST OF THE DOGMEN!

I saw that on and almost checked it out, lol...

Some wild movies out there that are little known. Just takes 30 seconds to snare you and you cannot change the channel....

AMC = commercials, periodically interrupted by brief segments of a movie. :frown: They have some good flicks, I just hate devoting twice as much time to watching them than if I rented the DVD. I've pretty much gone over to Turner Classic Movies (TCM) and the Encor channels.

One of my favorite movies. I don't know why Tom Berenger didn't do more Westerns, he made a pretty good cowboy IMO.

I hear that! It is getting hard to watch TV at all anymore. Football games are brutal with commercials. We are more likely to record them (DVR) and fast forward through commercials. At 3x speed it still takes too long to get through them. I guess they have to pay all those high salaries with the ad money.
Sorry for getting off topic. Just venting a little.

I agree, he's right up there with Robert Duvall and Sam Elliott.
Not exactly a cowboy role but he was pretty good as Teddy Roosevelt in the HBO movie "Rough Riders" which is available on DVD. Several other well-known folks are in that flick.

I saw Last of the Dogmen when it was running in the theaters. Good movie. Might have to see if I can find the DVD.

The sad thing is, AMC (when it first aired) did NOT have commercials. I also started watching TCM as a result.

But as of late, I only watch movies on Netflix, through my ROKU machine. Anything else, I watch through my computer, online.
