This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-21-RA 42-25507 G9-A "Huckle de Buck", assigned to by Major Paul Gardiner of the 509th FS, 405th FG, 1944. On 18 June 1944, Lt Harold T. Hersey of the 511th FS was shot down by flak while flying this aircraft. He managed to evade capture, and returned to duty in September.
