P3Dv2; Waves on the lakes and seas are nowhere to be seen.

That's something else I'm not seeing. I've maxed out all the sliders in every setting, and no waves to be seen.
Unless I missed something. Have they been omitted? I had a look in the effects folder and see the effect file, wavecontroller.fx

Is anyone seeing any waves?

For me the water looks better in FSX.
Here I have textures of waves, but waves stopped. It looks unreal.

The animation for waves is slower then in previous flight sims.

I didn't hear about the 1 meter trick. I'll check that out.

Bill, Yes it could be good - but - waves are to same always (too big) and if animation is slow You will see "big wave" with "small move".
Im pretty sure in real its something different ;).

YoYo, I just posted on the P3D forum that indeed tesselation off will give you water equivalent to FSX DX10 and REX animations would also work but you lose all the shadowing except VC.

Tesselation on enables the P3D 3d water animation which is quite advanced and spectacular, although I agree the waves are a bit high. I was getting very bad water with tesselation on but things started working after I updated my Nvidia drivers, even though I had relatively recent ones. It looks great now and performs well on my old system and card (460GTX). I notice you have ATI, so not sure if driver update will make any difference for you.

Tesselation is part of the use of scenery in the GC VRam to help it run smoother. Are you having problems using Tesselation? Just curious.
