Pink texture question

YoYo

SOH-CM-2023
Ok, Im doing the first my skin for MSFS model (external addon) and I have a question about entry I suppose.
Textures now are ready and work ok and no any issue (if I use them on existing folder), however if I create the new folder and new entry [FLTSIM.5] plus Texture="new" in aircraft.cfg they are pinky (also the thumbnail is not displayed, just the text):

I think someting is wrong with entries, I use also this files .json from different, existing repaint (like ....ALBD.PNG.DDS.json).
Any idea where is a problem? :wavey:

Yoyo,
this is what MSFS does when it can't find the right texture files.
Unfortunately, this means that lots of things can go wrong somewhere in the file structure, and I'm not sure what your folders look like. I suggest you try a repaint someone else did and that you know works, and then adapt it to fit you paint, and then see if the problem persists?

Thx, however no problem if I put the new textures to exising folder (so textures are fine), just with new folder plus new entry its an issue for me I suppose. :(
The new folder is named for example texture.6, in aircraft.cfg is new entry with [FLTSIM.5] and Texture="6" also, the new name of the skin is present too.

FYI:
ok, it started to work for me. I changed layout.json file (this is very important because it's a "main menu" for textures!) so finally it OK now, here was an issue for me :wavey:.

Hi,

Double check the fallback folders of your texture.cfg from your "texture.new" folder.

Purple/pink textures could mean the comp-files can not be found.

Thx for help, however as I posted before - issue solved, it was missing entry in layout.json file. Now its ok.
I'm beginning to understand what's going on here :wavey:.
