• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

i can see cleaning up offices ect...but taking the nose art off the planes would just be almost offencive to others of us,those people who took offence to the nose art at the museum?..what kind of people are they in the first place?...i have my opinions of them which i cant voice here....but they are the same people who would be a vegan and waltz into tonys steak house in timbuctoo order lettuce and tomatos and when the steak and lobster is brought to the table next to them..they will tell those folks how offended they are that they would dare eat meat infront of them...BTW...this happened to me last new years eve at my local sizzlers...i had a terriky steak with lobster tail and a woman behind me tapped me on the shoulder and said.."sir..we are vegan's,we would apprieate it if you moved to another table".........again..i cant say on this forum what i told the people at that table..but i will say that the sizzlers manager came over and said...ma'am..this is a public resterant and we sell MEAT,if youd like i can box up your meal for you...omg.i went off on a tangent again....:icon_eek:

but i do want to say...the bottom of that news story said 700 sexual asaults last year,100 more than the year before...makes me wonder....is it because the military is taking so many gangbangers and highschool drop outs?..street kids?,i dont mean to be offencive,but 700 sexual assaults in just the airforce?....to me its more of a mentality of the people....part of where they come from..what they learn is right and wrong...seems they think its ok to assault girls (to them its not assault,its what they think the girl owes them for spending money on them)and that comes from thier enviroment that they come from.......ill shut up
 
I agree, leave the nose art on the planes tanks or whatever, if you don't like it, don't look! I remember when some of the Bombers were coming back to the US after the war, and their nose art showed the pretty young lady nude on the top, and the crews were required to cover up, you know those two things. hehe
 
If I said what I thought about the rampant PC in today's military, I'd have to ban myself.

This ridiculous PC awareness is offensive to ex service personnel along with the knock-on effect in other 'sensitive' areas.
For instance, no 'Dambusters' film from Peter Jackson ......... I'll get orf me soapbox before I fall off!!!

I detest, abhor, loathe, and revile political correctness in all its insidious forms (am I being clear enough? :icon_lol:)...particularly when it oversteps its bounds and attempts to sanitize history just to placate some overly-sensitive ninnies.

I'm glad to see that, for once, the "good guys" and common sense won. No way should museum exhibits ever be scrubbed to conform to modern ideals.
 
Way back when this political correctness garbage began, I remember the Wing that administered all the attack squadrons at NAS Cecil Field would, as part of a periodic inspection, check the aircraft logbooks in Maintenance Control. Oftimes the Maintenance Control CPO would write enteries such as, "Aircraft 305's Pressurization System is AFU, or T.ts Up - T/U". Well, there was a female inspector on one occasion who took offense to those acronyms. As a result, such acronyms were no longer used.....leastwise for a while anyway.

Oh, and replacement training squadrons USED to be called RAG (Replacement Air Group) squadrons. Not anymore. Now they are referred to as FRS. Apparently RAG was, in PC terms, referring to, well, you know.....

Political Correctness is actually Marxism. I.E. whoever decides to take offence at something is obviously correct as it was they who voted themselves the arbiter. Nobody therefore has the right to argue the case or speak against it.

If you had lived under the terrors of Nazism or lost a family member due to the 3rd Reich,....you'd totally understand why Germany keeps a very tight lid on the display of that reviled symbol of tyranny.
