Prepar3Dv3.2.exe

In the Event Viewer, I get Faulty Application name:prepar3d.exe, every time I load Simulator (Prepar3dv3.2). What does this mean?

Thanks
Dick

Dick, could you post the whole error message? There are important informations like the Event ID, faulting module, and so on.

Does P3D crash to desktop upon starting or does it run despite the entry in the event log?

Cheers,
Mark

Hi Mark

Here is the error message...
Faulting application name:prepar3D.exe
Event ID: 1000
Faulting application path:C:\Prepar3d v3\Prepar3d.exe

p.s. I installed the full Prepar3d v3.2, everything went fine until I installed A2A 182T Skyhawk, that is when I started getting that error message in the event viewer. I re-installed Prepar3d v3.2. Now everything seems to be working fine. I don't dare re-install A2A 182T! (this is A2A 182T for Prepar3d v3).

That event id usually points to an UAC access violation (file system permission) problem.

Did you invoke the A2A installer with "run as administrator"? I never had that error, so I can't tell from my own experience. You might want to post a thread in the A2A forum, there's usually a fast response to solve these problems!

Cheers,
Mark

Hi Mark

I'm waiting for an answer from A2A. I re-installed Prepar3D v3.2 and everything is working great but I have not A2A 182T yet. I might try to re-install with A2A 182T "run as administrator".

Thanks
Dick

Hi Mark

I re-installed Prepar3D v3.2, re-installed A2A 182T (ran as administrator) and everything seems fine now. I'm not getting that error anymore.
