RAF Binbrook Released

Morning all,

Just a quick post to show that RAF Binbrook is in the works. I had a few requests for my RAF Coltishall to be made into a Lightning base with the arrival of an MSFS Lightning (Still no idea who is making it though, fingers crossed its the Aerosoft version). Anyway, a while back I began some scenery for Binbrook. A developer no longer on the scene gave me permission to continue the development in his absence. I am tight for time in the real world so I am just in the process of tidying it up a smidge. It will likely be similar to Coltishall in the sense that it won't be a full base with all technical and domestic buildings but it will be good enough to operate the new aircraft from.

Still WIP

Great to see this being working on Dale!

Reminds me of the halcyon days of ACG. Looking back through my files it was 2011-2 when Stevo was working on one for FSX and I was helping him create a detailed 1m blended mesh of the bomb store on the NE perimeter, which was a b*'$h given it is also at the top of a slope/valley!

Evening Andy,

The vast majority of the objects are from Stevo, he very kindly allowed me to use his models and bring them into MSFS to which I am extremely greatful for. His work was outstanding. As of course is John Youngs Lighnings which help bring the scenery to life. Again very greatful to him for allowing me to use his models in scenery.

Ouch, that work looks a nightmare to do! I'm afraid to disappoint but this scenery won't have that stepped approach to the bomb dump, but it's better than having no Binbrook I guess. Still a few bits left to do but she's getting there.
