• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Scenery

Description: Another of my ez scenery & Afcad creations for fs2004;

RAF Coolham, near Billingshurst alongside the A272, was an Advanced Landing Ground (ALG) constructed in late 1943, runways/taxiways were metal
complete by the beginning on March 1944. 133 Wing arrived in April and was transferred to the airfield at Holmsley South in the New Forest on 22nd June. It was replaced by 135 Wing consisting of 222, 349 and 485 Squadrons, previously at Selsey Advanced Landing Ground near Chichester, on 30th June. The wing was only there for five days before being transferred to Funtington ALG, having suffered no casualties. No other squadrons operated from Coolham after that date, but the removal of equipment did not start until the autumn of 1945.

Mustang III would appear to be the main types based here carrying out fighter sweeps and armed reconnaissance patrols aimed at V1 sites

The site is now a 'scheduled' historic monument; 15 casualties are recorded for Coolham here ---> https://www.roll-of-honour.com/Sussex/CoolhamAdvancedLanding.html
