HMAS Adelaide is the largest ships ever built for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), an Amphibious Assault Ships also known as Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD). The design is based on the Spanish Navy LHD Juan Carlos I, and was built by Navantia and BAE Systems Australia.
