Bjoern has another thread on here but it hasn't been posted since 2017 so I am starting a new one. First for anyone who loves this aircraft and doesn't have it, it's at a few of the online etailers like PcAviator for only $15.00 AND if you wait until Tuesday next week like I did the past week, you can get 10% off so its only $13.50 for any of the three download versions even the FSX/P3D which used to be $69.95USD.
Next, I want to thank Bjoern for the time he spent upgrading the systems and adding switch sounds which I have done to mine. It comes with 17 repaints and even military versions besides the passenger and cargo versions. I have been flying passengers all around Canada the past few days for Bearskin Airlines.
I really like that texture with the paw prints on it so I went out and found photos of all 14 aircraft that Bearskin flies noting the registrations and the serial numbers which are on the nosewheel doors.
First before I show what changes I made, I want to thank Ron and Larry from Razbam for a super aircraft. When I started downloading photos, I noticed that the reddish brown color on the fuselage is different from the texture that Razbam provided which is really nicely done. I decided to change it to I felt a more accurate representation so I "sampled" the color off the best photo I had in sunlight and recolored it. I then redid the tail registration in the reddish brown as it should be and finally added the proper serial number on the nosewheel doors. Now I am satisfied that it is accurately matched to a real aircraft photo. I also downloaded all the utube videos I could find. Reviews and also real pilots. In one of the real Metroliners they are using a dash mounted GPS on top so I did the same. Don't particularly like the KLN-90B. They did cross-checking between the GPS and the EHSI as I do.
I have found the aircraft to fly very well and be very stable. This evening I flew to CYYB North Bay Airport with a full aircraft of passengers and baggage. FSX said we were overweight even but I had no trouble at all. Using up fuel lightened us up so no problem. I landed there for the first time in the dark tonight. Although there is an ILS it is a non-towered airport so no guidance. Wasn't a problem tonight though. Here is a photo of the repaint and also of the dash with the GPS on it.
