REALLY loud horn.

i want i want i want i want...i installed an bigrig airhorn in my work truck..set it sideways behind the bumper/grill..didnt tell my dad and had it wired to the regular horn ring..was a 69 ford F250 camper specail..utlity bed..went to dads house monday morning to go to work...was a tad late and the truck was allready running..BTW it had a cutom built 390,,was pumped..i coulda given you all the specs back in the day but for the life of me i cant remember...but it sat there and loped at idle..and i once had it to 150 in the quarter mile...with all the tools in it...had burned out glasspacks and dad and i liked to cruise down main street here in town..every few hundred feet id rap the throttle and car alarms would go off..was funny as heck...lol....

oh my im off topic ...back to the horn...the truck was running and i went in the house...dad looked at me said..what did you do to the truck this weekend?...i said..uh nuffin...he looked at me said..ya liar...when i started the truck i heard a wheeeeeeeeeee sound......he had heard the compresser come on..i hadnt thought about that....

so i said..well when we get in front of oldman meyers house hit the horn....so he did.....LOL.....meyers left a message on the answering machine about what type of people we were....lol....

i also put an airhorn in my hobby stock one week..went to the races and had it all covered with sheet metal..no one spotted it...went out had second fast in qualifying and then won the dash...as i came across the start finish line for the win..i hit the button and that airhorn blasted....poor stacy the flagman almost fell out of the flag stand....and ofcourse they made me remove it before the heat race.....lol

I saw a website a while back where a biker had fitted a loco air horn to his Goldwing and had rigged up a compressor in the dummy fuel tank to power it. Apparently when he operated it while riding it reduced his speed by 5 mph! :isadizzy:

and i once had it to 150 in the quarter mile...

Really? C'mon, man. A 390 isn't capable of producing enough power to propel any F-250, no matter what's done to it, to nine second quarter miles (150mph in 1,320 feet is deep nine). I just fif the math, you'd need WAY more than 1,200 horsepower. Such a motor wouldn't be very streetable and the race-prepped chassis wouldn't be very smart to have tools hauled in it.
