Recovery Programs?

Can somebody recomend me to a good recovery program? My thumb drive is corrupt:caked: and I need to get my science project off. I've looked for some programs and noticed that most of them were just trials so I can't save anything. Just wondering if anybody could recomend me to a good freeware app.
Thanks.

Right off hand I can't think of any free ones. Maybe someone else here knows of one.

Lexar Image Rescue is the one that I use. It is included with Lexar PlatinumII series memory cards, but for separate purchase, they want around $30 for it. You can buy the card cheaper than that so I would suggest that if you're interested, pick up a card and you've got the software.

I have killed a few USB flash drives at work (they either get soaked with water or get nailed by stray EMF) and haven't had much luck recovering the ones that go corrupt.

Good Luck!

Thanks. That'll do just fine. Now I just have one more problem: When I try to reformat, Windows can't figure out what the capacity is of the drive. Now, because the recovery programs can tell how big it is, I'm hoping there's some program out there that can reformat for me... any ideas? Most freeware formating tools seem to be as scarce as recovery programs...:faint:
Thanks again.

EDIT:
Forget special software. I found out another way as followed that wiped it clean with XP:
-go to control panel
-administrative tools
-computer management
-disk management
-scroll down to your pen drive's drive
-right click on it
-select delete partion.
-hit ok on the warning.
-Right click again and hit "Create Partion"
-Create Partion Wizard comes up (Isn't there a windows wizard for everything? lol)
-Done. :)
