Reklaw Fly-In Time Suggestion?

In an effort to get as many participants as possible, I suggest an afternoon time frame. Personally, since I am retired, anything after 0800CST is good, lol. I realize that's not convenient for many though and so an afternoon time might give the chance for "Honey-do's", etc. to be accomplished and still have time to fly for an hour or so (maybe a bit longer). So my suggestion is 1500CST.

Let me know your thoughts and counter offers:biggrin-new:

Ed, I'm like you, retired, so there are 6 Saturdays and one Sunday in my week. :biggrin-new: Work schedules are no longer an issue. I just have to work around doctors' appointments now!

Seriously, if I don't have a doc's appointment I'm available.

Steve

15:00 CST would be 16:00 EST for me and a 1 hour plus flight would end right around our usual supper time here which may not sit well with SWMBI (She Who Must Be Ignored! :a1089:).

You know what she's like when she's riled so if I'm late for supper I am going to blame you! :173go1:

14:00 CST might be better for me.

In response to HWMBI (He who must be ignored), supper is never a set time and happens when everyone is ready to eat, so if he goes past the expected supper time then oh well, that's what microwaves are for!

IIRC he retired as the sole librarian a couple of years ago due to life changes. He was replaced by a couple of guys (at least) who stepped up to run the file library as a team.

Note Rami is still around as needed. Just not as active at the job.

I don't know what my schedule is do to the last minute personal Item I have to attend. Fly on at whatever time you choose and if I can I will be on later.

Time

2000 Zulu it is on Saturday 6 January 2024 unless the unforeseen occurs which will be a bummer...looking forward to flying with all of you. Before Saturday can each of those who are flying post what aircraft you are going to fly. I can download an example if I don't have it in the hanger and be able to see your real mount. I am flying my Cessna 208B.

Mine will be the Twin Navion:

The Twin Navion is currently only available to LDR team members but should hopefully be available for DL 'soon-ish' after a very lengthy delay due to real life issues (including the loss of a vital team member - RIP Roman :engel016:) and burn-out!

It is currently undergoing a flight model re-evaluation before release.

The default FSX Baron (or any other low powered twin in your hangar) would probably do as an alternate aircraft in JoinFS. The Twin Navion was not a fast aircraft and was speed limited by the restrictions on the original single engine airframe.

Saturday at 1400 CST I'll be at the Boeing factory at KPAE, but I'll think of you.

I'll also run the route (after I see screenshots) on Tuesday in a large helo to pick up any "salvage" as required.

Have fun!

Most of the crashing I will be doing is FSX crashing and burning. I am really struggling with this PC and FSX. MSFS 2020 runs fine but FSX is being a POS.

This is the first PC I have owned that had real issue running FSX.

Five members were able to hook up and fly together despite some issues seeing each other and a good time was had by all. Looking forward to the next time when hopefully all our vision/audio issues can be resolved.

Yep, all in all not a bad first flight. First gatherings are bound to have issues working with new utilities and next time should go much smoother. I did get some screen shots but not as many as I had planned.
