Renault Goes for Yellow!

Not as 'YELLOW' as the original but at least it looks better than the gloomy black!
It may be translucent over a silver base, I'll try and check it out this coming weekend (which starts on Friday).

I like the thought of going back to another era on the paint, but agree that the yellow/black alone is not quite on it: an additional splash
of white, here and there, would have really nailed it, for me. I was at Watkins Glen in '78, and saw Jabouille score their first turbo points, so color nit-picking aside, it's great to see them on the grid with a throwback scheme. Here's to wishing them, Bon Chance! :encouragement:

Not bad and at least some color on the grid.. Too much blue, black and silver already.

Benson/Hedges Peugeot - Eddie Jordan anyone?

The original B&H 'Yellow' introduced in 1996 at the Australian GP was horrible, immediately dubbed 'Baby Poo' by my circle of friends.
Martin Brundle earned my undying respect in that car, comprehensively demolishing his race car in turn 3 on (IIRC) the first lap, climbing out of the debris and running the length of the pits to see Sid Watkins who pronounced him fit to race,
then running back to get in the spare car and gridding up for the re-start!
As the race was red flagged without completing a lap he could take the spare and return to the circuit.
I believe Sid held up his hand and asked Brundle how many fingers he could count, then 'What date is it' followed by 'Go and get in the car'!!
