• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

REX overdrive Win10 and FS9

Browncoat

SOH-CM-2023
I istaed REX, and everything seems to be ok. But, when I try to load weather data from my local airport using REX, the program just hangs. I can still navigate around it, but I just see a “loading” popover when I look at the loading screen for airports. I have the rexengine2.exe cleared through the firewall, And FS9 sees REX’s engine via FSUIPC, but the engine is stuck at 6% when loading. I’m not sure what to do.

Update:

I have reinstalled the program multiple times, moving it in and out of different locations, and fussing around with the firewall settings (giving both the weather engine, and REX.exe full access) but no change.

The Random generator works great, but I see a message that the map within the REX UI won't load due to a lack of internet (yes I made sure I was connected too).

There was a thread at Flightsim not long ago where the user couldn’t get REX weather to work. Maybe they pulled the plug on internet weather updates.
