I think quite a few people here know Peter Watkins, a rather prolific repainter for a few sims.

A friend and a member on this site, @dhasdell just informed me that Peter passed away on the 10th of March, peacefully in his sleep.

The message David got from his spouse was: " I have been trying to find you and others from the flight sim thingy to tell you. He passed on the 10th March, peacefully in his sleep. He fought valiantly for 2 years after being given only 6 months to live. The whole family are devastated...."

I thought some of you would want to know.

That is really sad news, I had many of Peter's repaints on aircraft in my various hangars over the years. He WILL be missed! :(

EDIT: I just posted the announcement over at CBFS where Peter was also very well known.
 
RIP Peter! You will be dearly missed! Many thanks for the many wonderful repaints over the years, especially for Molyneaux's Gladiators - really, works of art! Blue skies and fair winds! Condolences to family and friends.
