Hello,

I could have sworn this came with optional grey deck textures (to reflect British carrier construction doctrine of the period being steel, rather than the wood used in the US). I'm reinstalling the scenery now, and can't find those textures in the current SOH download.

Can someone set me straight on whether I'm imagining these optional textures or if there were in a different package, or what.

I dont recall there being grey textures. I think the British carriers had steel decks overlaid with wood.

In the download there are 2 deck textures one steel, correct for the Royal Navy and a wooden deck, incorrect for that period, with no overlay of wood on steel decks, whatever for ? more fire hazard.

The wood deck is default, there should be another folder with just a bmp in for the steel deck in the download.

Indeed - therein lies my question.

The download doesn't have the folder with the alternate steel textures ...

D_L, there should be a Civil version ? look in that folder for a folder named Options in that folder is 3 other folders, the one you want is Gray Flight deck, in that folder is 1 bmp and 1 text file, that bmp will give you the steel deck the txt tells how to do it

:woot:Thanks!! I knew it was there somewhere ... why he added it to an aircraft subfolder rather than in the addon scenery folder is a bit weird ... But I found it, and I'm happy!! :ernae:
