• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

RTW 2017 Race Practice 1.0 Jellypoppers

Since we now know we're actually having a race, and that it will feature "roto" craft, lets do a short practice with this in mind:

Start: EDNY (Friedrichhafen)
End: ENSR (Sorkjosen)

Rules:

1. Aircraft: helicopters.
2. Leg length: 50nm minimum (no maximum)
3. Real wx, and all other basic RTW race rules.

Go.
 
I had not heard that we officially are having a race. Where is that announcement please?

So, that means the other team(s) have been able to field a wing of pilots. Great!
 
I have the baton, EDNY to EDTH in the Virtavia Westland Merlin. FSX default real wx.
 
Ack, rolled into a barn before I could stop. Baton back at EDNY.

Note: The Merlin overspeeds easy.

Just so y'all know, and I'm not here spying or anything like that, as far as I can see, FlightSim may not have enough pilots this year to field a viable team. So far as I can see, we have 3 pilots, one of whom is a very new pilot indeed. I hope we can be involved, buuuut...
