RTW 2017 Race Practice #2.0

Thought we could work in another practice round for fixed wing aircraft.

Start ICAO = SCGZ (Chile)

End ICAO = KFVE (Maine)

Rules:

1. Keep the baton moving in a direction (North!) that ends up at KFVE, given the Caribbean, Atlantic coast and land masses.
3. Max leg length 500nm, unless declaring "wildcard practice", in which max leg length is 750nm.
4. Aircraft type = Try to keep it focused on whitelisted aircraft. Use of jetliners is encouraged as we will be using them in the race on a limited basis. No helicopters in this practice round as we have a dedicated thread for those in progress.
5. Time limit on all legs is the standard 2hrs.

Whitelist for Eligible Race Aircraft:

I have the baton, SCGZ to SFAL, Milton's F7F-3, with FSrealWX Pro.

Sorry, this is as far East as it is North, but I couldn't resist the opportunity for a trip to the Falklands. :adoration:

I have the baton from SFAL to SA0J in the Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 v2.3. FS2004 default real wx.

Baton is free at SAWD. Viz dropped terribly near the airport so I diverted from SA0J (SA19 in FSX) to nearby SAWD as it is well lit.

Good, because SA0J doesn't exist in FSX (Ident changed?). Was hoping for a fast baton transfer but now have to reset :encouragement:

...because SA0J doesn't exist in FSX (Ident changed?)

Should have mentioned that the FSX equivalent was SA19 in my baton post but then again the forum was quiet until a little bit ago. :engel016:

I keep forgetting that the Seafury does not have a modeled working landing light. Argh.

The baton is free at SBPP

Crazy T-storms. 45-60* roll to both sides until <500 ft on final. Then there were those bright flashy things...

I have the baton, SWSM - SBCC, Grumman (ABC) F8F Bearcat, FSX default real wx.

Oops... Baton back at SWSM. I ran out of gas with 150 gallons still aboard. Someplace. Fuel selector switch didn't work. There was nothing but forest below. Tried dead stick landing into the jungle, with predictable results. Hope I get rescued before one of those giant snakes get me, you know those anaticonderogas. I guess I'll get my POM out and read the section on fuel management while awaiting the SAR chopper...
