RTWR 2016 Practice #2

Hi Tom. I haven't been able to get the drop tank to be visible on the new FSX version. Some have said that you have to drop the tank to make it visible (?). Tried that too, but still no tank.

I can get the drop tank to show. After dropping the tank.

gman5250 says "Works off the water rudder key."

It's just a hide/unhide technique that he used.

Even though you can unhide it, it does not refuel once the fuel is gone.

Yes: Works with the water rudder key, so will be useable. Probably send a revised FM to Milton later today.

Cheers: tom

I still get no tank. Not by dropping it, not via the water rudder key. Maybe I'll try re-installing.

EDIT: Just noticed something. My TiggerCat is an F7F-1. At least that's what it says in the package. I just looked in the "liberry" and I notice there are six different F7F-3s in there. Maybe I need one of those...

For the RTWR, we are only updating the FM (AFAIK) for the -3 single seat versions because they were the fastest. Look for metal and blue.

I just downloaded this one. I got a tank! :biggrin-new: We certainly have a "plethora" of Tigercats! I'll look for a navy blue one, although this one is nice...

I posted links above; that version is a 2-seater, not available for the rtwr unless Tom does an fm for the 2-seaters

Ahh the confusion with the drop tank. Also note the speeds with the different versions. The -1 being a bit under 400tas, -3 a bit over 400tas, and the La Patrona is quite a bit faster.

All the FSX native versions are "hot"; that's why we need Tom to revisit the flight model for RTWR eligibility.

I have the baton, CYLH - CYUL, Grumman/SOH F7F-3 (with a drop tank), FSX, default real WX.
