Samsung Tab 8 - school me on possibilities

Hi all.

Work donated me an old Samsung Tab 8 with 32 GB. I was initially thinking of using it as a home YouTube watching and/or note taking device.

But am curious about uses cases/applications in MSFS2020. Most of my sim flying is military, so am thinking maybe checklists? Is there a way to tie into the sim and sync with a flight plan, freqs, etc.?

Have never used a separate device, since frankly, I liked the FSX and P3D kneeboard. I don’t find MSFS has the same, and so maybe an external tool could be helpful?

Thanks in advance for ideas.

Sky4sim, or the tablet in FS2024. If there’s an Android utility to turn it into a srcind monitor like there is for the iPad, you can put the PMS GTN750 on the tablet display.

I have not tried that with my Samsung A9+, but I did so with previous Amazon Fire tablets and a old Apple 2nd Generation IPAD. Heck, am fairly certain you could use a Smartphone too. NC

Have a look at Sim Dashboard: https://www.stryder-it.de/simdashboard/index

I use it as a dashboard for my trucking sims and I have used it for radios, APs, button/switches etc. in FSX.

There are literally thousands of user created templates to download and you can modify or create your own easily.

I have it on an Android tablet as well as my phone and I have the desktop app on my PC as I find it easier to edit templates on the PC and then transfer them to the tablet/phone.

Larry - Great tip. And for those of us that use DCS, I noticed that there is some community support for DCS cockpit items (tactical map, F-18 center console, etc.).
