Saving a default flight in FS9

Ok, that's easy enough to do; no problem.

But what I am trying to do, is save a flight so when it comes up, the flight plan is ALSO loaded. That isn't apparently so easy, if at all possible.

I figured out how to assign the "GPS Terrain" view to a joystick button, but the flight plan doesn't save with the default flight assigned.

Showing my father in law how to load a flight plan is much more complicated for him to understand at one time.

Any help here?

Thanks.

I downloaded the program, but after reading the Readme file, I don't see where it can attach a created .pln that would automatically load with the default flight. Or am I simply missing this?

I am able to create a default flight wherever I want; that is easy enough. But can I get FS9 to load a saved flight plan file (.pln)?, so it will load into a GPS for the aircraft?

It may have something to do with declaring it the default flight...?
I have never had difficulty saving, and later retrieving, a flightplan loaded with a saved flight.
It should simply show up on the GPS.
