Scasm Surfacetype - CFS2

Does anybody have example SCASM code to create a "smooth" surface like concrete
with the Surfacetype command that works in CFS2 ?
For some reason I cannot get it to work.

Are these the SCASM codes you are looking for?

0x40 = dirt square end dirt_square_end.bmp
0x41 = dirt round end dirt_round_end.bmp
0x42 = steel mat steel_square_end.bmp
0x43 = coral square end coral_square_end.bmp
0x44 = coral round end coral_round_end.bmp
-1 = invisible runway (good for float bases, carrier decks, and other things)

Hi KD , something like this :

Area( 5 S00:00:08.9427 E000:00:11.4201 12 )
RefPoint( rel : 1 S00:00:08.9427 E000:00:11.4201 )
SurfaceType( 0 1000 1000 0 )
EndA

Looks like it can only be a rectangle.
Can you call it in a rotatecall ?

Hi RTT,

Sorry, I haven't noticed this type of entry before. Is it used for smoothing an entire airfield? Do you know of a particular scenery file which uses this command?

It's to make a smooth surface anywhere.
So it looks like you can specify a rectangular area and rotate it as well.

This code will generate a smooth surface of 1000m x 1000m rotated at 45 degrees
and centered at Lat 0.0 Lon 0.0.

; Surface Area 1
Area( 5 N00:00:00.0000 E000:00:00.0000 12 )
RefPoint( rel : 1 N00:00:00.0000 E000:00:00.0000 )
RotatedCall( :lblRotated 0 0 45.0 )
Jump( : )
:lblRotated
SurfaceType( 0 1000 1000 0 )
Return
EndA

I want to use it to smooth Aprons around the runways.
You don't want bouncing gear when you taxi on concrete, right ?

This would probably be the last thing I add to my CFS2_Airfield application.
Then I will send it to you & Uncle TG for beta testing :cool:
