Screen Resolution in FSX

I got my new monitor

ASUS VW246H

My screen resolution is 1920 X 1080

I set the Resolution to 1280 X 768 X 32 which looks good but I don't know if it is right.

IIRC LCD screens are best run at their native resolutions (i.e. 1920 X 1080 in your case) and perform best at that setting.

The only time I would suggest lowering the resolution is if your game/application does not support resolutions that large.

Sorry Larry

My screen Resolution is set to the Native resolution of 1920 X 1080.

The Display setting is what I need help with.

FSX does not list 1920 X 1080 as a Display setting so I used 1280 X 768 X 32 for the Display setting.

Not sure what I should use there.

FSX should offer you the native resolution for your monitor...Mine offers 1920X1200 in FSX.

Least I'm pretty sure it did, but its off now as I had a HDD die on me last Thursday, and have not fount the time nor desire to reinstall anything yet...

:isadizzy:

This time it did.

When I started it up last time it did not.

It must have needed restarted. That was the first time it has been used with the new monitor.

Thanks

My 24-in wide-screen is 1920 X 1200 native.

If you are using a wide-screen monitor, be sure to make this entry under the [display] in your FSX.cfg, not required for FS9 IIRC.
