SectionF8 F-86F Sabre textures “The Huff” in high detail for rivet counters!!!! ;)

Note: This set contains revised primary textures for the original release FS9 edition of the ‘SECTIONF8’ North American F-86E/F Saber (sf86ef.zip). Every feature of the exterior fuselage, including front windscreen, sliding canopy section, machine gun ports, vertical stabilizer, exhaust section, etc., etc. has been reworked.

In addition to revamped primary textures the set features in high detail the correct personal markings for “The Huff” F-86F-1-NA, 51-2897 as flown by Lt. James L. Thompson, USAF; 39th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, 51st Fighter Interceptor Wing. The art work on the port side of the fuselage is a large dragon with two kill markings that made it one of the wildest and most garish paint schemes ever seen on an F-86 Sabre (rivet counters may want to count the scales :costumes:). This dragon motif was inspired by a similar dragon painted on the side of the first MiG-15 shot down by Lieutenant Thompson (May 18, 1953). He shot down a second MiG on 16 June 1953. The starboard side of the fuselage carries additional artwork that has been overlooked on earlier re-paints done for "The Huff" and reads “Bill’s Baby” and “Miss Jenny” with six kill markings.

Thanks to Jan Visser for support to produce this special set of textures for the members of Sim-Outhouse.

Cliff Presley ;)

Hi fellows,

My sincere thanks. It's very gratifying to know that a few folks understand and appreciate the amount of effort that went into those new textures.

I'm beholding to all of you,
