Setting up Saitek X52 Throttle in V2; Tip

Lionheart

SOH-CM-2014
Hey all,

Setup of the Saitek X-52 Throttle in V2...............

* Go to Options/Settings/Controls
* Go to Axis tab on the top of that page
* Select Throttle and then move the throttle and it should then say Z axis. Click OK.
* Go to Calibrate tab at top of that page, click it
* Paruze down to the Throttle and click Sensitivity and set to full 172.
* Set Null Zone to 1

Your throttle will now function.

Is this an indication that it is not recognised by default? If so I find that disturbing given that the X-52 must be the single most popular stick used.

On the other hand I recently caught Froogles YT vid which acts as a primer for utilising FSUIPC for setting up j/sticks. That appears to be a better way to go providing P3D can handle FSUIPC (the payware version)

Thanks for the tip! I use FSUIPC to calibrate my controllers, but this is good to know nonethless!

Thanks for the tip! I had sent my X52 controllers back for repair, and will hopefully get them back soon. Good information to know! NC

I have no idea and no answer. I know they fight hard to get NVidia and other corporations to work with the sim. It could be that Saitek are slow to provide drivers for the new sim. They really work hard to get 'all' systems flowing properly. It was TrackIR that really set things back on V1 when they refused to update drivers for running it in V1. They finally did.

Which reminds me, does TIR work with v2 then?

I saw at the P3D forums this morning that someone said their TrackIR wasn't working in V2. I do not know the details. I also haven't checked it on my rig. I quit using TIR quite a while back.

I loaded up P3D v2 right after installing it, ran TIR and it worked fine for me. I've got TIR4 with v5 software.

Got the throttle (X52) to work, but V2 doesn't recognize the linked X52 rudder pedals..... weird ! I need my trusted FSUIPC !

I remember him saying 'if this is going to be released soon, the new FSUIPC will have to wait as I am going out of town for ....... many days. (was it 10 days?). Anyways, he should be back soon.

Well,......'tis a good thing that my Saitek controllers won't be back from warranty work until next week at the earliest then! I broke down and ordered Saitek Rudder Pedals today. They are on sale on Amazon for $96. I've had CH. Pedals for years, but decided an upgrade is in order. Christmas early for ME! NC:victorious:
