• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

hey guys n gals,
i have the sibwings AN-2 colt.i installed it into my P3D and when i try to select it,i get a CTD...any ideas?..Dave
 
Dave,

Just had a thought. Did you install the An-2 while the user account control was on?

If so, disable it. Here is how you do it in Windows 8.1:

  • go to the metro interface with the tiles by pressing on the windows key of your keyboard
  • start typing UAC and select the user account control settings in the search results on the right of the screen
  • pull the slider all the way down
  • reboot

Now reïnstall the Antonov and report back here if it works.

well i did as you said.but the UAC was already at the bottom,i slid the slider all the way to the top..rebooted..uninstalled the AN-2....slid it to the bottom,rebooted,then reinstalled the AN-2..still did a CTD...maybe i should install it to a folder and then manually install?..
 
I dunno dave. I've installed mine without a problem...

Then again, I use windows 7 and that is a BIG difference!

when i installed it in a new folder in my files explorer ,i was able to manually add it into P3D..it ;looks good to me
