UncleTgt is busy painting new paint schemes and tweaking the airfiles.

Here are my two fictitious paint schemes. I love D-Day stripes.

Good lord, this Corsair looks awesome (or these Corsairs? The cockpits make me think of -1 and -4 variants).

It's really the cockpits screenshots that gave me the hints, especially the armaments panels. I also remembered a video about human factors in WW2 fighters from Greg's automobiles and airplanes on Youtube talking about the Corsair cockpit.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Here is another repaint that I have finished using the paint template from UncleTgt. I like aircarft with stripes.

We have just finished building the F4U-1D model. We are hoping to get this aircraft ready soon. We are still tuning the air files. I just need to paint one more paint scheme.

Beautiful work Andrew and John. Looking forward to getting my hands on them. (y)

Thanks for the Yak-9 plug John, LOL. I'll have it ready in the next couple of weeks. But it's a Yak-9D version which was used by the VVS in the 1943 to 1945 WW2 time frame.

The North Korean Yaks were the later Yak-9U and Yak-9P marks, they're quite different.

For anyone interested, Thicko has a North Korean Yak-9P here:
