How many aces of spade are there in one set of cards?

White 3 from 7./JG53 flown by Obfw. Gunther Seeger, Comiso Sicily June 1943. The artwork by Uffz. Heinz Zach depicts the ace of Spade holding the British Lion.

Cheers,
Huub

Okay, okay, huub ! I know I haven't got this one reloaded back out to the new machine yet....I'll bump it up on the list !

Seriously...it looks GREAT ! :woot:

Awesome paint work Huub!

You and Cees are the gurus of German paint schemes.. No equals..

I know that airfield.

You can smell the ocean air, coming up North from the Mediterranean.

Taken about 10:00 AM. Shortly, about 5 Messerschmidt Gigants will come in with wounded from North Africa, Rommels campaign, thats if the P-38's didnt take them down on the cross-over. They left before dawn with a supply run of munitions and vehicles, troops, etc.. Returning with wounded.

Around 1 to 3 PM, things are slower, mechanics talking, engines being repaired, lunch, Italian food.

Around sunset, you can watch the ocean view, and down on the coast is a U-Boot base, room for 5 in the bunkers. Now and then you will see one coming in, or one leaving, but only at dawn or dusk. Nowadays, its dusk, so the night will ensure their passage out.

The guys like to sign out a Kubelwagen to go down to the local pubs near the coast, close to the bunker. Some great food, and good people.

Very nice description Bill! For those who missed it; the scenery Port Salvo airfield which part of scenery included in the Valkyrie set by Bill "Lionheart" Ortis. The airfield is located at a strategic point in the south of Italy and a busy crossroad on the routes to North Africa, Greece and Sicily.

The aircraft is Michael "Mike_cyul" Flahault's BG109G6, which is part from the Flight Replicas Gustav set.

Thanks for the nice words, as I not yet completely satisfied, I still want to make some minor changes, but it will be ready either today or in the next few days.

Cheers,
Huub

Another one finished....

Edit: The repaint is in the queue both here and at avsim.

Enjoy,
Huub
