Sound Card

I have a Gigabyte G31M that has a built-in sound card. It was great with XP but I have changed op sys to Win 7 and the on board sound sucks. If I install another sound card will I get my mixer back that I had in XP? I liked the WAV volume control and the CD and DVD control.
Thanks

Joe check back on the Gigabyte site and see if there isn't a BIOS for the G31 with windows 7 I had to do the same thing with my wife's G41 now it's all good!

OK ..... I'll look again. I went there about a month ago and there was none. I ask the teck's and got a reply" Try the default MS Drivers". Thats in the wrong direction.
