I feel pity for Albon. His qualification time ( in Q2) was nearly 2 seconds slower than Verstappen's final qualification time.

For once the factory Renaults are in front of the McLaren customer cars....

I already saw a lot of engines trouble and even some going up in smoke. This might be something to keep in mind in the race....

There will be a lot of orange tomorrow! McLaren will wonder where all these fans suddenly come from :biggrin-new:

Cheers,
Huub

Albon had some engine problems and RBR couldn't give him the power required. Now he starts with a new engine...

Albon got a new engine at the start of the weekend and has to start at the back of the grid anyway, so no real qualifying attempt was made.

Shame that one of the F2 driver (Antoine Huberts) died as a result of injuries sustained in the F2 feature event.
Not surprising just the same, whenever I've watched a round the drivers are way to aggressive and almost OOC.
The other drivers involved (Juan-Manuel Correa and Giuliano Alesi) are recovering.

Re Albon: he will do as well as Marko allows him to do, Gasly is probably going to be fine, Kvyat can offer him first hand advice on how to cope.
:encouragement:

A sad and freak accident unfortunately, spinning off and bouncing back on track on top of a blind crest, than getting t-boned in the drivers' cell by another car… He didn't have a chance sadly.

Gasly might not be around for long if Kvyat continues to beat him through the end of the season....
Nice comeback by Albon and great finish for Perez!

Nice win for Leclerc, it a pity he had his first win under these circumstances. I think its obvious that he is faster than Vettel, or at least takes better care of his tires.

Good result for Albon in his first race for the senior team. Young mister Verstappen will realise that a race is not won in the first corner, but can easily be lost there.......
My brother-in-law went all the way down to Francorchamps to see Verstappen race. He only saw him once during the formation lap......

Cheers,
Huub

Same same for Hass. Great speed in qualifying and start of the race then it all goes away.

needs some different help here than what he has now.
