Cobras

What an Odyssey that airframe has made.

I saw my first Cobras, the Gulf Model, over four decades ago in VN. They could really bring the smoke.
 
Their firepower was a FEARSOME thing to behold... especially if they were carrying "nail" rockets for bad guys on the ground. Vulnerable pulling out of a dive back then but AWESOME to watch go in! Nice catch!

The Bell UH-1 and AH-1 series has had a long and historic production run. It's amazing that a 1950's design has been so modified and remains in production and front line service to this day.
 
It must be the season for them, because one flew over us here in Brunswick yesterday as well . . .
 
Probably a training flight for homeland security. Getting the feel of their target area :mix-smi:
