SU11 reminder ;)

If they can do "first person", then "Tower view" shouldn't be too difficult IMHO.

The first person camera is an addition to FSRealstic and not part of SU11. Looks like the drone camera with headbob and footstep sounds, similar to ORBX's BOB. It's cool but unless I can interact with the aircraft eg. doing preflight checks, remove chocks etc. then I am totally fine with just the drone camera for "on foot" exploration.

I wish Asobo would just implement the walkaround camera that was in Microsoft Flight 2012, it was already perfect. Though Microsoft likes to pretend that title didn't exist so I won't hold my breath.

Btw you can see the changelog for SU11 on the beta forums

A simple Instant Replay button, like as in FS9/FSX and lots before, and a simple one click Fly-By camera option. Why is it so damn hard to implement ??!!... With all the superb bells and whistles otherwise i still feel MSFS is crippled. One amazing looking aircraft model after the other but you still can't look at them like you can in the real world: flying by or taxiing by, preferably over and over again via instant replay !

One thing is for sure, atm MSFS is NOT an aircraft spotters sim ! ( does it have to be ??.... I bloody well think so ! If not, why all these amazing looking aircraft models ??... )

Atleast it seems we can now do a 'normal' walk around our aircraft without having to use that god awfull 'drone' thingamabob. A good step forward ! (IMHO that drone thing is the most awkward and useless camera option ever seen in FS. I suppose it was much more easy to implement than a Fly-By view... :onthego: )

Wondering about that. Seeing lots about FSRealistic, videos/writing, but it's all about internal effects (which are nice ), only first person camera is about external camera. Very nice as well. But examples are of shut down/parked aircraft only. What we want ( well, what *I* want..;-) is the same thing but with ready to taxi aircraft. I.e. when in FSRealistic First Person mode, can we operate our aircraft as well ? ( i suppose not, right ?....)

With this MSFS Drone thingy we *can* look at the external model and still operate our aircraft as well ( IIRC by hitting the 'C' key...) but the damn thing won't keep the aircraft model in view so it's a 'one time go' only.

I also wonder why FSRealistic is featured in the SU11 video, and with emphasis on First Person camera.Wouldn't it be cool to be able to play airport marshaller as is so eloquently displayed in the FSRealistic First Person Mode advert piccie above ( with a red arrow and all ! ) Or did you set that up, YoYo ?... ;-)

Anyway, 11 November is going to be an interesting day ! ( i'm afraid i'll have to turn down the childern with their lanterns that come round the doors for cookies and sweats to celebrate St. Martin day (Sint Maarten). I'll be too busy ! ;-)

edit: picked this up from the comments : im kind of disappointed, they said that it won't keep your head at ground level and we'll have to adjust the camera elevation manually. It's basically just the drone cam.
