This folder contains a repaint for the Spitfire Mk.IX by FlyingIron, in the colors of Spitfire IX ML407 OU-V in the colors it wore in May 1944, when it was flown by F/O Johnnie Houlton of No. 485 New Zealand Squadron. It later flew with several other squadrons before ending up with 485 Sqn again. It was converted to a T9 trainer version for the Irish Air Corps in 1950.
