Swapping Ship Sounds

Question to the experienced shipfolk out there -

The stock CFS2 Mahan Class comes with a throaty main battery gunfire sound, which I believe is the "ai_127a/b" sound file. Either that or the "ai_37a/b" sound file.

Question is, how do you transfer that sound to other ships so they can use it for their main battery sounds? I've hunted around the DP's and CFG files with no luck finding a spot to alias the sounds.

Any advice?
 
Nor I there has to be a way just can't fined it. You could try change out the stock sound file and then calld it up in the dp. Better yet would be to add a new sounds to the number system and call/assinge that number in your dp.

Thanks for the advice -

I've been trying to fiddle that sound into the stock CFS1 Sherman tank in an effort to make it into a heavyweight AA gun, but no luck. I'm just hoping I dont corrupt something and have to go through the whole re-install dance. Again.
