In case you ever wondered....

The airfield that the UI always returns you to is Fowlmere in Cambridgeshire. It was a WW1 airfield very similar to Duxford but demolished in 1922. In 1940 it was a satellilite for Duxford, a/c being transfered there daily for
duty.

As far as I've been able to find out all that was there at that time was Manor Farm to which were added a few huts and tents. In the BoB
then & now book are a series of photos taken during the battle and are what the layout's based on.

I'm highly impressed, even if I do find the scenes a bit short of talent. Where are the WAAFs? Got to have some WAAFs. How about one adjusting her stocking?

Yes, I did paint the figurines myself!

The other one is real, just for inspiration...
 
Lol, nice one Nigel. Very nice figures too. :applause:

I have tried but can't model people convincingly :( would love to have lots off Erks & WAAFs about the place.
