I hadn't watched this movie for years. Gene Hackman is one of my favorite actors. Owen Wilson, eh, ok.... But the carrier and flight scenes are great, and just awesome directing! NC
 
The scene when they fight against SAM is just ridiculously unrealistic. That's not how SAM and countermeasures work...
 
Gene Hackman is always solid. I like Owen Wilson too but most of us are wired to think of him in a comedic role.

Yes, but it made the scene interesting. I understand t wasn't realistic. I did read a online trivia article about the making of this movie. For the most part, the producers went out of their way to make the film as realistic as possible. NC
