"The Skyraider Effect"

I tried Tim Conrads Skyraider last night and did some flying in South Vietnam. While flying I began to notice some blurry textures settling in......then the auto gen stopped loading and finally I had turned everything either down considerably or off completely. I had to pause to get anything to load and it was painfully slow. I finally switched to the Carenado Bush 185 Tundra and "Instantly" everything popped into place and remained perfect after that even after moving the settings back up where they were.

Unfortunately, while the Skyraider is an excellent airplane, there is something about it that V4 does not like.

I think if one of our master converters were to take an interest in converting Tim's Skyraider to FSX Native then all the problems would miraculously vanish.

I believe that airplane is already Native FSX.

If I still had the Skyraider I'd make a backup of the mdl file, then import the mdl into MCX and export it as "P3D v2 MDL object".
Maybe worth a try - it's quick 'n' easy to do.

Actually, I used the V4 SDK and saved the mdl that way. I would say, based on my earlier problems that, unless the problem occurred due to an unrelated file for some reason, the Skyraider is V4 correct now. I flew a 40nm leg and the scenery and autogen never faltered and fps remained at 30fps where I have it locked currently.
