• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Might be rain coming.
However, on Thursday in P1 the circuit record went down, the old 2:04 practice time has been broken. Doubt that pace will be race pace though.

As for the minor event in Japan, apparently the event has been rescheduled........qualifying Sunday morning with race that afternoon.
Practice etc has been curtailed due to a Typhoon.
Sounds just too familiar.

"News broke in the lead-up to FP1 on Friday morning that Saturday’s activities at Suzuka had been cancelled due to the approach of Typhoon Hagisi, which will make landfall tomorrow. Qualifying has been rescheduled for 10am on Sunday, concluding three hours before the planned start of the race at 2:10pm local time.- The circuit will be closed, with teams only sending essential personnel (such as those who need to keep generators going or key security) into the track. The gates will open up for fans again at 7am on Sunday.

- The paddock was quick to begin pack-down plans on Friday after FP2 finished. The pit gantries, podium, start lights and trackside hoardings have all been removed, while the broadcast centre will also be deconstructed. A meeting will then be held on Sunday morning to assess the situation at the track."
