Top Gun documentary video

I've not seen this before. Really like it though. It is before Tom Cruise became so arrogant! Top Gun is STILL a favorite movie of mine, obviously. Always will be.

Chief,

Now and then I hear rumors of a planned sequel? Do you know if this is true?

Still Alive,

JAMES

Don't think so, if there was a sequel Mr.Cruise would be firing blanks ............ :encouragement:
And a PS, have you seen the size of Kelly MacGillis these days?
She's not called 'Big Mac' for nothing.
Sorry, the Devil made me do it!

... It is before Tom Cruise became so arrogant! ...

Maybe not... Part of that film was shot on USS Enterprise during one of our work up periods off the coast of California. While I didn't make that det, I spoke to many of our squadron mates who were there, and to a man, they said Tom Cruise was a World Class Jerk. He even FOD'ed the cockpit of a Tomcat, by tossing his sunglasses down while sitting in the seat, after some argument he lost with a Yellowshirt about FOD.

Thats disconcerting. Oh well, Hollywood attitude. NC

I was reading about this in the latest issue of Hollywood insider.
Mav and Iceman are retired and have an altercation while jockeying for the same parking spot at the base exchange.
"you're dangerous" no "you're dangerous"

Fed up with the two of them holding up traffic, Jesters dependent convinces the two of them they are needed back at Miramar to show the new guys how to fly the F-14
Unaware that Top Gun is no longer based there and that the F-14 has been retired. they endlessly circle the base in Iceman's Ford Aspire, both too hard headed to ask for directions.
I'm not gonna ruin the ending, but with modern CGI the scene at the rubber dog poop factory in Hong Kong is amazing.

Ok ! Good job !!

:running:

Watched the other parts as well as Bio's book. I had decided to go Navy prior to the movie, but that pretty much sealed it.

Also, Jerry Bruckheimer confirms a new Beverly Hills Cop in development too (a little OT, but read it while looking for TG2).

Thanks for the link. This sounds similar to Jim DeFelice's book, Coyote Bird. One of my professors gave it to me when I was an undergrad. I didn't believe the part about a secretly remilitarized Japan threatening the US, but found the descriptions of aviation tech very interesting. I'm a sucker for technothrillers. I'm also convinced whoever wrote the screenplay for Stealth gave this book a good read.
