• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Ugggh Install issues

Im reinstalling German Airports 1 and I keep getting this error :

Anybody got any words of wisdom? this is a Win 10 box and I have tried running the install in compatibility mode and I have had zero luck. I bought it from Aerosoft so I guess I could reach out to them but that could be a long shot.

Guessing you have fs on your C drive?

Run as administrator,

Point the installer to a temp location outside your C Drive
then copy to your fs9 folder after.


Its Win10 user account protection feature
(Which is always on, even when its selected off)

Well I am not even given an option it crashes as soon as the installer starts up.

Success!!!

Found it! Turns out there is a hidden folder in the C:\Program Files (x86) called C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield Installation Information inside the folder is install information that had to be deleted. to determine which folder needed to be deleted look at the setup.cfg in each folder and find the corresponding install you are trying to accomplish. delete the whole folder and you should be good to go.
