Virtual Cockpit field of view

Dev One

SOH-CM-2023
Anybody know why one cannot see effects from the VC when airborne?
Been experimenting with machine gun effects & noticed that one can see the effects from the VC of the gun blast in the wings when on the ground, but as soon as one is airborne these disappear, although one can see the tracer effect for about 45° either side of the centreline. External views do not change.
The same happens with lights; nav, landing, strobes etc.
This happens in both FS9 & FSX.
Is there a cure for the reduction in peripheral vision?

Even though I have TAC PAC, I have never even tried using it. But I wonder if the same issue exists with that software, while in the VC?

There are so many similar anomalies within FSX (and probably P3D) that I often notice, but never remember to ask questions about in SOH!!

I find it still apparent with the cockpit open so no glass in between! Must try that in FSX though.
