• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

at 8:23am PST,friday,1/18/2013.."tiger one two,airborne".."copy tiger one two, take off time is one-six ,one-seven Z"......what does "one-six,one-seven Z" mean...it was 8:23am..i know it was a MC-12W out of Beale AFB.been alot of traffic lately with the MC-12W's and for some reason the U2's have been flying low approches...or lower than normal?...normally they come in (im assuming) steep and fast so they are never seen, until they are right on final and landing,,but weve been seeing them flying low over my area, heading towards Beale..i see them from my window as im at my desk..well in all honesty...ive seen two of the U2's in the last 3 weeks...but still ive lived here for 50 years and this is the only time ive seen this.

Your clock is 5 minutes fast then. :icon_lol:
(EDIT: err, 6 minutes. Always was weak in math. LOL)

16:17hrs or 4:17pm Zulu time. http://zulutime.net/

Zulu means Zero meridian, or Greenwich Mean Time.

Eight hour time difference between you and England.

ZULU time is commonly used by the military (and others) to eliminate the need to factor in time zone variations in operations. If you wanted to co-ordinate operations based in multiple locations, using ZULU time puts everyone on the same schedule.

When I was in the Army we logged all our flight time using ZULU time.

LOL, wouldn't surprise me then if whoever was transmitting was off on their time. :icon_lol:
