Pulled this one deep out of my FSX hangar and threw her into P3Dv4.5H3. WOW. What a ride. A b*tch to start. Can't see a bloody thing from inside. Very thirsty. Fantastic sound and smoke. Handles and looks amazing in P3D 64 bit. Looks fab at the freeware RAF Coningsby airfield (after I got my MAIW scenery library working again). And the best thing is I completely forgot I had this aircraft (IRIS Vulcan).

I can't find a link to their Freeware list anymore. Would you have it? Thanks, NC

UPDATE: I did find their Vulcan on Simviation, but the details clearly says it will not work in V4? Confused.

I may be wrong, but i dont think the Iris Vulcan was ever released as freeware, you may have downloaded the Alphasim model.

LOL! Loved your descriptions! If you want another plane where you can't see a bloody thing from inside, try the Vulcan's Cold War sister - the Victor! :pirate: I love the gorgeous menacing look of a Victor as it flies towards you. Mind you, I like her pretty much from any angle. I have the Alphasim victor but with a 2d panel merged into it (excellent) I think the 2d panel came from UKMIL, not sure.

Perhaps it just needs some gauges replaced?

Negative. Gauges in the panel folder are all xml files. I did't even properly "install" it - just copied and pasted the aircraft folder from my now long disused FSX folders. Everything works including the VC autopilot which is very similar to the CS C-130 AP.

I installed the aircraft. Although the model did show up on the runway (there was not a image of the aircraft in the selection menu), and was able to take off, etc...., the landing gear will not retract. I tried the keyboard "g" key, but no response, either. NC

Just added this beauty to my rapidly growing list of FSX aircraft which will soon find a new home in MSFS2020.
